An eventful history since 1827: Internationale Ludwigs-Apotheke

A modern pharmacy with a long tradition

Internationale Ludwigs-Apotheke was founded back in 1827. Since then, it has always been at the same location with the exception of a few years immediately after the Second World War, when the parent company was completely destroyed.

Very few of today’s companies can look back on a history spanning almost 200 years and six generations. In addition to a hefty chunk of good luck, this also took a fair share of resilience, on the part of both owners and employees.

To celebrate the pharmacy’s 190th anniversary, the company’s history was explored and published in German with the title ‘Eine Erfolgsgeschichte seit 1827’ (‘A success story since 1827’, ISBN: 9783944334905).
